Autism Partnership Foundation – The New Little Learners

In the coming years, we have some grand plans! Firstly, I have been grateful to see the development of our charity organisation Autism Partnership Foundation (APF). We have been providing free therapy for low income families since 2016 and will be increasing the number of children. This year, we are planning to open two Little Learners classrooms for our APF families so that some children can receive services all year. Our future plans also include lobbying the government so that all families can receive early intensive ABA programs for their children.
Center for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (CABA)

AP has been busy this year and one exciting development is the establishment of the Center for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (CABA) in Los Angeles. CABA was established to develop and provide a training program for people wanting to get a high level of skills in ABA. We are developing our own training modules, tests and we are working with professionals to get the program accredited. This will take three years and Hong Kong will likely become a training site. This is a great development for us as we see a great need to train people to a high level so that more families can be helped.
APSPARKS – The ABA Resource Website

Another interesting project is an ABA resource website. We are hoping to launch this in the coming months. The website will contain hundreds of videos of therapy, webinars, view points and information that will be more in depth than the videos we have been creating for our Facebook. We are hoping this will be a valuable resource for parents, teachers and professionals. It’s going to be a huge amount of work but should be very satisfying once completed! Please keep in touch for updates through the year on all these exciting developments.
AP New ABA Programs
Starting from September 2017, we will be offering two new programs for our local families, Sparks and Accelerate Program in English and Cantonese.
Sparks is a full day intensive intervention program with AP newer staff members. Our supervisor, Eunice, oversees every child’s progress and program implementation. Only a small number of students have been enrolled to ensure a high degree of supervision and oversight for each student. We are happy to be able to offer this program at a significantly reduced rate to our normal services.

Since 2016, the Accelerate Program has been running for Mandarin speaking families and it has been an incredible success. This year, we have started to offer Accelerate Program for local families whose children speak Cantonese or English. Each Accelerate Team consists of 1 supervisor and 4 staff, and each team works with 4 students. This provides 3 to 4 times more supervision than in our regular programs and enables incredibly quick adjustments and changes to programs daily. All of these factors can rapidly accelerate a child’s progress.
Extending Our Clinical Spaces

It’s been a busy few months at Autism Partnership. Due to the overwhelming demand for services over the past year, we have extended another office space in 633 Kings Road. The new floor will be located on the 27th. It has been a very exciting project and I am positive that the new office space will be wonderful for our students.
For the spatial design, we have adopted a new concept which will simulate more a school-based environment. We will have a wide open space that will incorporate 13 different learning areas. Children will rotate around these areas throughout the week and we will embed their individual goals into each space.
Many children will still be receiving many hours of 1:1 therapy but we will also have custom designed spaces for small and larger groups. We will also be moving our Little Learners upstairs into a more spacious area built specially for our students. We will also have a smaller therapy area and some individual rooms for children that are not quite ready for the open plan arrangement.
With a welcoming reception area, jumpstart room and numerous meeting rooms, we are looking forward to sharing this space with our families!

Advancement of Behavior Analysis (CABA)

Centre for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis
APSPARKS – ABA

Autism Partnership
