Aiming at raising public awareness on Autism, the Community Outreach Program 2016 has been kicked off. On January 30, Reshani Satharasinghe, Behavioral Consultant of AP Singapore, delivered a talk named “How to maximize progress for children?” at a local special needs school introducing parents effective ways to help their children develop learning to learn skills.
Following on February 20, another complimentary talk named “How do I get my child listen to me?” was conducted. After the speech, supervisors Maria Carlson and Edith Kho discussed strategies and answered many questions of the parents and caregivers.
Many participants have immediately signed up for the next session “How do I overcome Autism?” upcoming on May 7. As one of the community outreach initiatives, the complimentary talk project has been running for 5 years. It is such a pleasure to extend the offer to more parents and caregivers of children with ASD.
