The College of International Education (CIE) of Hong Kong Baptist University (HKBU) has recently launched the Professional Mentorship Program for students. Autism Partnership (AP) Hong Kong was invited to join this program to provide mentorship to the students. On February 5, Raymond Fung, Behavior Consultant of AP Hong Kong attended the HKBU Recognition Ceremony for Intern Employers. In the presence of over 200 VIP guests, representatives of Hong Kong companies, BU staff and students, Raymond, on behalf of AP, received an Appreciation Souvenir from the CIE for supporting the Program and providing the mentorship for its students.
To provide the students with more hands-on skills and understanding about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Raymond also gave a 2-hour talk to a HKBU Psychology Class on March 5, 2015. At the talk, Raymond gave a brief introduction about Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), what is ABA and how to apply ABA in the treatment of ASD. All the students found the topic very interesting and enjoyed the live demonstration of application of ABA.
“We’re glad to participate in this program and help nurture students with more practical and work-related skills. We believe young people are the future of the society and we are happy to partner with HKBU to equip students to get ready for their career life.“
