On July 27, Dr. Eve Chen, Professor of the Open University of Hong Kong, along with Professor Ke, Honorary Professor of Hong Kong University and Chief Vice President of Nantong Science and Technology College, paid a visit to Autism Partnership office in North Point, Hong Kong. The purpose of the visit was to exchange information and insights into teaching individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD), incorporating Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) into school settings as well as conducting staff and professional training for teaching individuals with ASD.
During the visit, our Program Supervisor Ms. Jasmine Au gave them a tour of the AP office and presented some of the successful cases to demonstrate the effectiveness of ABA in treating individuals with ASD. Professor Chen was impressed by the professionalism of our therapists and our dedicated contribution to the treatment of local children with ASD. Professor Ke also showed her interest in collaborating with AP by conducting training for professionals in the Mainland China, particularly by incorporating ABA in teaching and training for staff and teachers.
“The visit serves a great platform for us to exchange our experience and knowledge in teaching children with autism and special needs from different perspectives. We have a meaningful discussion which leads us to examine the situation of autism education in China and the rising demand of ABA experts in the region,”
